Driver Behaviour Case study – Driver Feedback Display Unit
Pointer worked with a client to perform a case study whereby the client who had our Cello IQ product installed on his fleet. We looked at the driving style of his worst driver with the most exceptions for 2 weeks. We then turned on the Driver Feedback Display Unit inside the cab, which provides voice prompts to alert the driver to bad driving habits, such as speeding and harsh braking. The results after 4 weeks were as follows:
First 2 weeks (No DFD unit): 118 exceptions
Second 2 weeks (DFD unit installed): 3 exceptions
The results speak for themselves, and the client is pleased to have improved the driver’s behaviour with little difficulty.
